Dear Vaishnavas,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. My wife and I spoke with Krishnanandini dd just a few days ago.

She was in good spirits, fully conscious, remembering Srila Prabhupada, humorous, speaking of her earnest desire for Krishna consciousness to spread around the world, grateful, without a drop of fear or doubt, and, while weak and limited physically—bright faced and almost effulgent.

She was a devout, faithful, bold, and effective servant of Lord Caitanya and Srila Prabhupada. I have no doubt they are showering mercy upon her.

Your servant,

Anuttama dasa

Hare Krishna,

I heard this news with much sadness, although it was certainly expected. Krsnanandini devi dasi was a very rare and exceptional devotee who touched and affected everyone she met. My wife and I were among some of the first members of the Grhastha Vision Team, but everyone knew that the life and soul of the group was Krsnanandini mataji. She worked tirelessly for years to promote the devotee values she believed in, including healthy grhastha marriages and families, good communicaton skills, and above all, loving devotee relationships.

I have no idea how many devotees she counseled, mentored, and helped, but it is a great number. She was one of those people with a “good heart,” one that was filled with love. I never heard her say an unkind word. She always encouraged and supported others.

Her love for Srila Prabhupada was part of her being. She was someone who made you feel and love Prabhupada and Krsna more, by her association. She was so down to earth that for some reason it surprised me the first time I hear her give SB class, which was filled with deep realization, and philosophical understanding. While kind and caring, she was not “sentimental” and knew KC philosophy thoroughly, which was her inspiration to help and serve devotees, and make ISKCON a better movement.

We are grateful for having her association, and feel the loss of such a
special Vaisnavi.

Your servant,
Tamohara das
