Followed by an appeal from the Ministry of Education for your center/congregation participation:

INTERNATIONAL SHRAVANAM WEEK

3rd to 9th September 2020

A week dedicated to enhancing the culture of reading Srila Prabhupada’s books globally

Dear ISKCON leaders and devotees,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

“Unless we take care of the books and preach and read ourselves, understand the philosophy, this Hare Krsna will be finished within few years.” (Los Angeles, 12 Dec 1973)

During the recent GBC Annual General Meeting 2020 at Sridham Mayapur, the GBC considered a proposal from ISKCON’s Ministry of Education to include a week in ISKCON’s calendar, dedicated to promoting the regular reading of Srila Prabhupada books. GBC body resolved to celebrate this festival during the week leading up to Srila Prabhupada’s arrival in America, i.e. 3rd to 9th September, 2020.

We beg you with folded hands to participate by following six simple steps (illustrated in the attached document). With just 15 minutes of your time every day, your center/congregation can take part in this critical initiative.

The Ministry of Education will provide fresh content every day, through our website and social media accounts, to support your celebration of this week. We have organized inspirational talks, interviews, webinars, and many other resources that you can electronically share with your community and make your center part of this revolution.

Our enthusiastic participation would immensely please Srila Prabhupada and help ensure that present and future generations of ISKCON continue to follow His Divine Grace’s instructions sincerely.

Your servant,

Tapana Mishra dssa.

Executive Director,

Ministry Of Education, ISKCON
