Devotees and members of ISKCON are pained to learn about the passing of Shri Pranab Mukherjee Ji, Former President of India.

Our hearts go out to family and friends of Mr Mukherjee and pray to Lord Krishna for strength in this our of grief.

He was friend of ISKCON and admired ISKCON’s Founder & Acharya Srila Prabhupada’s contributions to the world.

Over the years, we were fortunate to interact with him in various capacities and remember him for his warmth and humility. He would fondly recollect his visit to ISKCON’s world headquarters in Mayapur, West Bengal.

His thoughtful and inspiring speech as the President of India at the inauguration of the ISKCON temple in Pune, India, is something that devotees around the world remember till date.

We pray to Lord Krishna to bless Mr Mukherjee with the shelter of his lotus feet.
