Since March 22nd India has been under lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic. While this has affected the entire country, but millions of low-income families, daily wager laborers, migrant workers, in particular, have been hit hard due to the closure of business and industries.
You may be glad to know that, despite all the physical and logistical challenges, ISKCON India and its affiliate foundations (Annamrita and India Tribal Care Trust) have served over 6 million (60 lakh) plates of prasadam since the lockdown.
As per the data provided by the temples and Annamrita foundation, we had served 60,34,156 plates as on April 10th.

A video message of Sripad Gopal Krishna Maharaja appealing all Indians to follow social distancing and government regulations was shared by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi with his 54 million followers on Twitter.
With the lockdown being extended by two weeks, the prasad distribution will also continue to help the affected people and we will keep you updated on all the developments
