With deep sorrow, the temple of Sri Sri Doyal Nitai Sacisuta (Moscow) has informed us about Brahmananda Puri Prabhu leaving this world due to COVID-19 complications. He was one of the most senior Russian-speaking Vaishnavas.
Brahmananda Prabhu used to be involved with publishing Srila Prabhupada’s books in the former USSR and he used to put a lot of effort into developing sankirtan in the 90s. He also used to offer a lot of help to different ISKCON projects and various Vaishnava organizations.
Around two weeks ago, Brahmananda Puri Prabhu was hospitalized with pneumonia due to COVID-19 in one of the Moscow hospitals. This morning he went back to Krishna.
