Dandavat pranams. Srila Prabhupada ki jaya.

Hare Krishna

First, let me express my deep gratitude to all the Vaishnavas who have supported my wife and I during (and continuing with) our struggle with this insidious Covid disease.  By the grace of the Lord, ours were “moderate” cases, but I can testify that even a moderate case can knock you down hard.

I have no energy, nor do I see value in my attempting any health advice, except to be serious about the disease and beg for the Lord to guide you in how to deal with it and protect others.

Mainly, though I want to thank all the members of our Srila Prabhupada family, residing here in Sri Mayapur Dham, who have taken this as an opportunity to deepen our love, respect and appreciation for the extraordinary gift of being connected in service to Srila Prabhupada, the perfect instrument of the mercy of Sri Nitai Gauranga in giving us the ultimate medicine Sri Harinam as well as the special tonic to go with it “trinad api sunicena, taror iva sahisnuna, manina, manadena, kirtaniya sada harih”.

I know that a number of devotees have very strong opinions about different medical issues and feel it is their duty to try to convince others of their views for their own benefit. At the same time, I pray that in doing so, everyone places Vaishnava love and respect in front.  If I offend anyone in making this observation, I beg forgiveness.

Having studied covid from many angles, reading about immunity, etc. I naturally have come to some personal imperfect understandings. All I can say is that i have found no absolute formulas, just generalities, averages, things sometimes working, sometimes not. Faced with this we each make our best choices, taking advice from those we trust, and ultimately, depending on Sri Krishna.

Again, my deepest gratitude to all those supporting us and our community with their prayers and personal actions, doing what they can to help reduce the spread of this disease and the suffering and deaths that we have seen.

Your servant,

Pancharatna dasa
