Dear Devotees,

Please accept our humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

It is with deep sadness that we offer our respects and condolences to HG Jasomatinandan Prabhu’s family, friends, and to all those who benefitted from his association and leadership in Krishna consciousness.

Jasomatinandan Prabhu was one of the rare souls who despite having every material opulence: birth in a brahmana family, great intelligence, youth, material comforts, etc., eagerly surrendered it all to the service of his spiritual master His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, and indeed, the service of humanity at large.

Jasomatinandan Prabhu’s combination of a traditional Indian upbringing and Western education along with the empowerment of Srila Prabhupada’s blessings, made him an ideal candidate to spread Krishna consciousness all over the state of Gujarat and beyond. So many souls have been brought to Krishna’s lotus feet through his endeavors and so many continue to benefit from the gifts of Krishna bhakti due to his sacrifices.

Early in his devotional life, young Jasomatinandan das Brahmacari wrote to Srila Prabhupada:

“Oh, Prabhupada, may I lose my legs, may my hands be cut off, may I lose the sight of my eyes and my ability to speak, but may I never lose the shelter of your lotus feet. I do not know if I can develop love for Krsna in this life, but if I can develop love for you, that will be enough.”

We take solace today in knowing that Jasomatinandan Prabhu was truly a soul surrendered to Srila Prabhupada and surely continues his service to his beloved spiritual master with the same conviction and vigor he exemplified.
